Job Locations: The position requires travel to various locations in the Edmonton region (AB). The employer provides transportation when the job site is outside of the City of Edmonton.
Wage: $34.00 to $45.00 / hour (based on experience; salary increases as per Company policy); performance bonus per company policy.

Duties:
The Excavator Operator reports to the Foreman and will be responsible for preparing the ground for pipeline installation as required.
- Operate heavy equipment (excavator/hoe), including Hydraulic Excavator,
- Clean and lubricate equipment and refill equipment tanks,
- Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment,
- Secure special attachments to equipment,
- Perform minor repairs to equipment,
- Ensure the trench is excavated to the specific depth/grade,
- Place water, storm, and sanitary sewer pipe in the excavation,
- Observe the condition of the equipment and materials used to ensure it meets the company’s standards,
- Report any possible problems or defects,
- Ensure all work is conducted in a safe and responsible manner,
- Follow directions of the ground crew regarding craning, gravel placement, and grading,
- Operate two-way ratios and other communication equipment,
- Prepare accident reports,
- Know, understand, and ensure compliance with safety regulations,
- Ensure compliance with current ground disturbance regulations,
- Know and follow the company’s rules, policies, and procedures.
